Young people are the key to a green future

FLORIT – Gevgelija, as one of the founders of LAG Bojmia, actively contributes to building a green and sustainable future.

Over the past period, through project activities, young people from the LAG Bojmia area engaged in discussions on important topics such as climate change, the European Green Deal, and the importance of a responsible attitude toward nature.

Through an interactive and youth-oriented approach, the activity allowed participants to better understand contemporary environmental challenges and how to address them.

The aim of the activity was to increase awareness and engagement among young people on climate issues and environmental sustainability through an approach that is accessible, understandable, and inspiring for them.

To achieve this, a visit was organized to the rural complex Rural Household “Atanasovi” in the village of Sirkovo, Rosoman Municipality, near Kavadarci. During the visit, the young participants had the opportunity to experience rural life firsthand, learn about local production, and explore sustainable practices that contribute to the preservation of nature and the development of local communities.

This activity was implemented as part of the Young People Building a Green Future project by LAG Bojmia, which is a sub-grant under the EU project “Farm to Fork Academy”, implemented by the Rural Development Network of North Macedonia. We believe this is just the beginning of many new green initiatives that will guide young people toward a more sustainable future.

This project once again confirmed that young people, when informed, motivated, and actively engaged, become true drivers of positive change in society. Special thanks go to all the schools and participants who were part of this initiative and contributed to its success.
