In February and March 2025, on the premises of the Kiddy Adventure playroom, trainings on healthy nutrition for children were successfully carried out, with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of proper nutrition from an early age. The trainings were delivered through an interactive approach and familiarized the young participants with the basics of healthy, balanced eating.
The target group was children, who actively took part in the training, during which the key principles of healthy nutrition were explored— which foods should regularly be part of their diet and which should be avoided. Through various examples and activities, the children had the opportunity to learn about the importance of vegetables, fruit, and proteins in their diet, as well as the negative effects of processed foods and sweets.
The trainings also included a workshop where the children could participate hands-on and develop their own ideas for healthy eating. Through group activities and games, participants learned how to choose healthy foods and distinguish them from unhealthy ones, and how to make healthy choices every day.
The project “Active & Happy – Initiative for Balanced Child Development” was implemented by the Network for Rural Development as the implementer of the Community Development Program supported by USAID North Macedonia, in partnership with LAG Bojmija, Kiddy Adventure, the “Be Healthy” Diet Clinic, Red Cross Gevgelija, the public municipal kindergarten “Detska Radost” – Gevgelija, and S-53 Market Gevgelija. The goal of LAG Bojmija, together with the support of all participants and partners, is to continue this joint work and create new opportunities for education and a healthy lifestyle.
