Main project objective:
The overall objective of the project is to enable North Macedonia’s transition towards the EU goals for a carbon-neutral society through the inclusive and transparent implementation of the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans (GAWB) in North Macedonia.
Specific objectives:
- Strengthen the capacities of civil society organizations (CSOs) and local government units (LGUs) for better involvement in the implementation of the Green Agenda and to stimulate cooperation between them;
- Support LGUs in the process of developing local policies for implementing the Green Agenda at the local level;
- Raise public awareness in the country about the benefits of the Green Agenda.

- Mapping existing GAWB policies at the local level, including the capacities of CSOs working in this field;
- Regional capacity-building trainings on GAWB;
- Regional community forums;
- Development of a methodology and IT tool for monitoring the implementation of GAWB at the local level;
- Report on the implementation of GAWB;
- Roadmap for implementing GAWB at the local level;
- Regional partnership for GAWB;
- Raising public awareness on the importance of GAWB;
- National Forum (NF) on the Green Agenda (thematic forum).
