Innovation, Development and Employment in the Agrifood Sector"

Main project objective:
To identify and support new business activities in the agri-food sector that have innovative potential and can act as multipliers of the region’s comparative advantages.

Specific objectives:

• Analysis and exploration of career pathways offered by the sector to new and young entrepreneurs;
• Identification of new innovative business ideas from young professionals in the agri-food sector that can serve as multipliers of the region’s advantages;
• Training of qualified individuals in specific agricultural subsectors;
• Support for young entrepreneurs in overcoming barriers to business initiatives;
• Provision of business training for highly qualified professionals in the sector.

Target groups:
The population of the cross-border region, with special focus on the younger generation working or planning to work in the agri-food sector.

Main activities:

• Training in the application of theoretical and practical exercises for learning smart agriculture tools;
• Training on smart agriculture for young potential entrepreneurs in the agri-food sector;
• Procurement and installation of smart agriculture equipment based on LoRaWAN technology;
• Call for applications from qualified professionals with innovative ideas in the agri-food sector;
• Mentorship and technical support for the selected business ideas.
